This is a local water in Bolton and one of my favourites. There are around 9 lakes with varying types and sizes of fish. Carp can be found on most of the lakes. I prefer to fish on No.4 and No.2 lodges. No.4 lodge is the main match lake so not always easy to get on. My preferred method on these lodges is using waggler with banded pellet or method feeder.

Church Gardens

This is a another local water in Bolton which is full of carp and is very deep. It is a day ticket water and the bailiffs come regularly to collect the money. I've found the best bait for carp to be prawns, but they can be caught on the usual carp baits as well. Any method catches - pole, waggler or feeder. You will need to get on early on week-ends because it is very popular.

Fir Tree Fishery

This water is fairly local to Bolton and can be found at Appley Bridge (Wigan).
